One thing I love about comic conventions is all the original art on display.
The following are two John Buscema pages.
Asking price for both together – $30,000.
Sitting at the table next to me was Ashleigh Popplewell. She could double as an Ipad rep as now I’m sold on eventually getting one. Not are they only easier to lug around than a laptop, but you can get a Square and then have the ability to swipe credit cards.
Another artist on display was Freddie E. Williams II.
Interesting seeing his set up as well. He uses markers for tones, but also jars of different percentages of water and india ink to get the gray tones he likes. This from the author of The DC guide to Digitally Drawing Comics.
Wrapping up here with a short video from C2E2 2012.
Includes a little sketching by both George Perez and Joe Kubert.
Kubert demo moderated by Anthony Marques – Enjoy…
