| After pencils and lettering comes inking. I use a Gillot 290 pen point with larger black areas done with a #2 Windsor Newton Series 7 brush. The reason I use such a small brush is that the image area only measures 15 inches across. Larger black areas tend not to be that large. Once the line art is finished the titlebar, copyright and website address gets layed in. The last stage is coloring. I usually do a color guide but sometimes (as in this case) I do the finished color on the computer. After my editor proof reads a copy I fax her, I then send my line art and color file digitally to the printer.
