My next step was tightening up the pencils. Al sent along his tracing paper rough so I would have a good idea of what he intended. I opted to replace "Garden of Evil" with a small "to be continued" caption in the last panel. This was done because I felt the larger caption would just add unneeded clutter. Generally the lettering is done after the finished pencils, but my method is to letter after a tight layout. This way I know exactly how much space the type will take up and I can alter the pencil drawing accordingly.
